Kids on the streetby submanComment: This is an interesting photo but I think i would like it much more if each of the kids was not so close to the edge of the framing... I know that you had no control over this... = 5 - jmsetzler |

The Long & Wavy Roadby gja2600Comment: This is a good showing of city life. As for the overall quality of the image, I have a few minor issues. Normally, making photographs through the window of an automobile adds some distortion to the image. I don't know if that was your intent with this photo or not. It also normally casts some unwanted reflections. Another problem with that is that it causes under exposure in some cases. The colors look flat in this photo and need a little punch to really bring the photo to life... = 6 - jmsetzler |

Is this a Shadow ???by Truazn637Comment: I like the shadows and the contrasts in this photo.. I wonder what it would look like as a horizontal shot with about the bottom half cropped out? The dead space on the bottom third of the photo bugs me a little... |

Scenes from Bethpage Beachby joebarComment: I see the shadows in this photo, yet they are not adding anything interesting or special to the overall impact of the image... With 'shadows' being the subject of this challenge, I feel that the shadows should be playing some definite role in the image... |

Rain in the desertby PattyOFurnitureComment: What does this photograph have to do with 'shadows'?? Whatever that is a the bottom edge of the frame (trash can maybe?) probalby should have been cropped out.... I can't score much on this shot for creativity and the 'shadow' concept just isn't here... better luck next time... |

Chasin' the Shadowsby timj351Comment: As I look at this photo, I am asking myself about these tire tracks in the dirt. I just bet that you could have made a really cool shadow shot of those tracks close up :) i like the diagonal shadows in your shot here... good job! - jmsetzler |

Ten After Eightby welcherComment: Very nice! I think this is one of the more unique shadows I have witnessed this week. I like the strong diagonal... good work! - jmsetzler |

Untitledby connieComment: This is a nice portrait.. it does convey a little emotion here :) i would like to see a little of the right eye (her left eye) and maybe a touch of catch light in it... good work! - jmsetzler |

5 O'clock Shadowby haydenComment: Nice interpretation :) I believe the exposure is slightly 'warm' on this photo. I would also like it better if the background was a little more out of focus with a smaller depth of field. The crop across the top cutting the top of the hat out of the frame could go either way... I'm not sure which works best, but overall, this may have worked better in a vertical orientation? Good shot! - jmsetzler |
