Before His Timeby TomNTexasComment: Interesting choice to use a child's feet for a 'something old' subject... I suppose the water saturation wrinkles do make them look somewhat old though :) - jmsetzler |

Time of Death: 12:11by rdesaiComment: This is an interesting perspective of an old watch... I think the off centering of the subject works very well here... I believe that the only improvement that I could suggest for this subject would be a smooth textured background. The background that you have is not bad, but a smooth background would possibly enhance the overall impact of the image by removing the 'texture' constrasts from the non-subject area of the photo... - jmsetzler |

Atom 153by boyte1Comment: these old toy cars like this one fascinate me... I had some as a child but didn't manage to save any of them. This one is in remarkably good shape... i guess this is about 50 or 60 years old maybe? i like your composition as well... good work :) - jmsetzler |

Preludeby ShiiizzzamComment: "Cornet Echo" produces a sound like a trumpet in a large concert hall... "Cornettino" produces a sound like a small, high pitched trumpet... I don't know what the "I Forte" does... the "Vox Humana" sounds like a human voice :) Did you know that the term "pulling out all the stops" came from the old days of pipe organs? The stops on pipe organs control the volume of the instrument. Pulling stops allow more air flow to the pipes, hence more volume. JS Bach used to sample and test pipe organs in churches and cathedrals in his day in Germany and other parts of Europe. One of the first things he would do would be to "pull all the stops out" to see if the organ had an adquate set of 'lungs' for the job :) If the organ didn't have a decent set of lungs, he tested no further. Bach was quite cynical, but he is my favorite composer from the baroque period and his music inspires me... especially is works for the pipe organ... kudos on an excellent photo :) - jmsetzler |

Yester Yearsby spillerComment: This is a neat photo... it could be my eyes, but it looks a little oversharpened possibly... Did you experiment with this image any in black and white? good shot :) - jmsetzler |

by candle lightby BNCComment: I really like the concept of the candle in this photo.. the book is obviously old... I wonder if a little extra lighting on the book would work well here? good shot :) - jmsetzler |

Old Brickby estamperComment: This is a good shot of an old building... the exposure doesn't show much detail... maybe the lighting was behind the building... this photo needs some more color punch to really stand out :) - jmsetzler |

untitledby babyfaceComment: the subject of this photo is just a bit too dark... the dark background doesn't offer much contrast for the subject. - jmsetzler |
