newbieby aelithComment: interesting shot :) I'm not sure if there would have been a better way to do this one or not... I would love to see a little extra sharpness on the tomato... :) - jmsetzler |

Capacitors In Bloomby jkiolbasaComment: This is a nicely executed macro... The subject choice simply doesn't grab my attention in the challenge topic... - jmsetzler |

A New Lily for a New Dayby jimmspComment: very nice! I think the depth of field on this shot is perfect... I like the way this lily goes from soft a the bottom to sharper at the top... the contrast between the subject and the background is also nice :) good work... = 9 - jmsetzler |

STOP?!?by Edward MainComment: You have met the challenge by photographing a new road sign :) What this photo lacks is artistic punch. I believe that the stronger entries in these challenge combine several elements.... Meeting the challenge, artistic punch, and good composition. :) - jmsetzler |

Pocket Changeby bunniesComment: I really like the concept of the 'new' coins in this photo. I think that was an excellent choice for this challenge. In this particular image, I think that color would have been a better choice than black and white, because black and white photos are not generally associated with anything 'new'. B/W, in most cases, gives the photo more of a sense of old. That, coupled with the darkness in this image, doesn't really push the NEW coins into the spotlight :) - jmsetzler |

New Growthby sulamkComment: This is an interesting topic for the 'something new' concept... The lighting seems to be a little flat, and I believe that is keeping this photo from having a nice punch :) - jmsetzler |
