This is a great shot... the color and the capture of the action are both very nice! I love the seagulls, but there are not many that are this friendly where i live (5 hours inland :) I like to feed them when I'm at the beach though.. They are quite friendly and quite hungry most of the time. We used to ride the ferry between Ft. Fisher and Southport, NC each summer. We would load up on bread for this trip because the seagulls would follow the boat and take bits of bread from our hands. As a child, this was quite an experience :) Good shot... = 10 - jmsetzler

This is a good candid and it meets the challenge. Your subject is not particularly 'inspiring' overall... The 'wow' factor is just not here... This photo is also a little too dark... Mabye the flash would help? This challenge required some deep thought for sure :) - 5 - jmsetzler

This photo is 'candid' because I can see that it was not setup and not planned. The 'candid' element of the photo is, in my opinion, weak, because of the subject. I think that the people shots are a bit stronger on the subject because it's easier to show a strong candid moment and create a better tie into the challenge :) - jmsetzler

This is a really nice candid... I like the vantage point. This image has a strange sort of grain to it... maybe it was shot through a window or something? It almost looks like that but i'm not sure.. I would love to hear how this one was done... - jmsetzler

This is a lovely image... the detail is also excellent... I can almost count the strands of hair on her head... the soft lighting and the toning on this image also create a nice mood for this portrait... great shot :) = 8 - jmsetzler
