Hi Ace...

"Passing Time" encompasses a lot of things we do in our daily routine. It's a bit difficult to really understand what these things are sometimes. When are we "not" passing time? Maybe when we are being productive, we don't consider our activities to be pastimes... Maybe anything we consider to be leisurely is a good example of passing time.

This image didn't score very well in the challenge and you didn't get much feedback on it at all. I believe this photo fell into the middle grounds, which often don't produce any feedback and mediocre scores. This seems to happen when the image has no particular interest, but has no particular flaws either. The photo didn't inspire anyone to say anything about it. There are no 'simple' errors in the image that could be commented on in a hurry. There are no outstanding characteristics that would inspire 'wow' in the viewer either.

This image has a lot of things to look at. It's probalby a little overpowering to the viewer. Your 'subject' is almost lost in the lines and shapes of the carousel. Your subject isn't being presented in any way that interests me as a viewer. Beyond meeting the challenge, this photo doesn't do much.

This is the beginning of a great photo. The burning of the background around the flower is visible though... Exposing this flower for the highlight and using a black background tilted to an angle where no light would hit it would force the background to perfect black without the need to edit it...
