I think you have done a great job of capturing your subject in this photo. The pose is fine and the composition is excellent. I think this image may be lacking some of the important qualities of black and white images in general. The tonal range in this image is fairly flat. There is not much on the high level end of the histogram probably. This image has a casual mood, but the background setting could be considered somewhat distracting with the stronger contrasts that are visible there. The grain works well, but I think that a little extra sharpness would be good as well. Possibly some more light would bring out the detail in the dark shirt also... - setzler
