circle of zen by magnetic9999Comment: This composition is quite intriguing :) I think the creative lighting couples very nicely with the 'zen' mystique.

Day's Endby welcherComment: I particularly like the center image in this series... the top and bottom images don't seem to 'flow' very well with the series for some reason... - setzler |

Downtownby ursulaComment: I love good architectural photos and these are no exception. The toning you chose seems to add a nice mood to the lines and curves as well. The only possible improvement I can see would possibly to add a little more spacing between the photos to create a stronger definition between each... nice work :) - setzler |

ROCKem SOCKemby scab-labComment: Excellent composition on this series.. The strong color really makes this image stand out nicely :) I have one of these but it's just an old and tattered relic of my childhood now... great shot :) - setzler |

Sad angelby websterComment: Greetings from the Critique Club :)
Hi Webster...
Meetin the Challenge:
Without a doubt... snow is definitely weather :)
Artistic/Emotional Impact:
I think this photo is a little lacking in this area. From this particular perspective, It's really difficult to tell what I am looking at, therefore, the image takes on an abstract meaning of nothing more than lines, shapes and color. The color is flat and not really an integral part of this image for me.
Composition:
The composition seems to be ok, but maybe a different perspective would greatly enhance this image rather than a simple straight on view of the subject. Maybe a different time of day would also cast some shadows and bring out some detail with some different lighting across the image...
Technical:
The image feels a little soft. When I think of cold and winter, I think that crisp focus works very well...

Misearble Mondayby one66stangComment: Greetings from the Critique Club :)
Meeting the Challenge:
Without a doubt... Rain rain rain rain... it rained all week during this challenge for me and then quit on the weekend when i was ready to do my shot :)
Artistic/Emotional Impact:
For me, this photo doesn't carry much of either element. The method you chose to execute this photo has some nice artistic merit, but the video rental store background doesn't really inspire me.
Composition:
The composition here is fine, but there is no spectacular part of the image that really stands out other than the color. Changing the composition around in this image wouldn't really make any significant positive change probably.
Technical:
Technical issues don't really apply in this shot. It's more of an abstract where technical elements don't apply :)
Cheers :)

Breaking Free by FranziskaLangComment: beautiful work... this is probably one of my favorites in this challenge. Each of the three images has strong photographic merit on its own and the composition represents a theme/story that doesn't require any explanation to me :) This is a great black and white series... excellent work... = 10 - setzler |

Two Different Languagesby AnnidaComment: I really like this image quite a bit. I'm one who enjoys shapes and patterns and this image works well for me because of that. There are only two minor issues that I think could use some improvement in this composition.... 1 - the text at the top could stand to be just a tad brigher and 2 - the spacing between the two images should probably match the spacing on the outer edges of the frame so it doesn't look like they are just stuffed together. Presentation is everything in a composition like this :) Excellent shot, great idea and the black and white makes this one very strong.... great work :) - setzler |

Chasing the windby John WhiteComment: Greetings from the Critique Club :)
Hi John...
Meeting the Challenge:
Wind is definitely a form of weather and I think you have chosen an excellent way to capture the wind in the form of a photograph.
Artistic/Emotional Impact:
I should start out by saying WOW. This is one of my favorite photos for this challenge. Why? Because of the artistic and emotional impact provided. This reminds me of some similar images I have seen in the past and it just 'pops' for me. The black and white choice really adds a strong element for me...
Composition:
I love the horizon tilt in this image... it's perfect. I wouldn't change a thing about it...
Technical:
I love the sharp contrast.
Keep up the great work :)
