Naturallyby katlynComment: good macros generally have some specific element, if not the whole thing, in good sharp focus at some point. |

Replicationby shareinncComment: neat in cam effect, but the overall presentation is not particularly striking in any way. |

"Old Hickory", Andrew Jacksonby DougPazComment: very interesting monument... the composition you have chosen here is quite 'literal'... I wonder if there is a tighter view of some specific element of this monument that would make a great photo without showing the entire thing? |

CJ Desert Poppiesby tfaustComment: Hi Tina...
This is the strongest of the three dog photos in your portfolio. The setting is excellent but the light is also a bit strong as well. Your composition here is better because the subject (CJ) is positioned nicely off center in the frame. I'm not sure how much you know about the 'rule of thirds' but it's definitely something that you will want to familiarize yourself with if you are not already aware of it...
Rule Of Thirds
This photo could also benefit from some post processing that we can discuss a little later :)

Summer in Sedonaby tfaustComment: Hi Tina...
I scored this photo a 6, which means it's slightly above an avarage photo, but not much. The scene you chose here is nice, but there is nothing of particularly strong interest to look at. It is a simple outdoor landscape scene with no strong focal point for the viewer. I don't know how this particular scene could be improved much, especially under the rules of this particular challenge. A scene like this one often takes a bit of 'time of day' research to determine when the best LIGHT is for the shot :) Photography is all about looking for the light. The light will determine whether a scene like this one is strong or just mediocre :) |

Dreierleiby MarionHComment: Marion, this is an excellent photograph... I saw this one over at DA and I loved it there too... The color tone here is just phenomenal. That curve just does something that I can't really explain but I like it :) Excellent work as usual... |
