Differentby ChiquiComment: This is a very clean shot... looks almost good enough to use for a product advertisement. The photo makes it difficult to see 'painting with light' though. |

A Snowy Nightby vtruanComment: This photo will likely suffer 'does not meet the challenge' votes. The scene itself is quite interesting but there doesn't seem to be a moving light source that is being used to illuminate your subject. That being said, I think this would have made a strong black and white with a slightly longer exposure (maybe one stop or so) and if you had not used the on camera flash. You have mixed two different light temperatures in this image by doing that. This shot needs a tripod and no flash :) |

Swinging lightsby pitsamanComment: Interesting abstract... I'm not sure how strong this one is on the theme of painting with light because of the abstract nature of it. You can't really tell by looking at the image if this is a subject that has been painted with light or if the light is the subject of the photo. |

Electric Lacesby Geo_GriffinComment: I don't think this photo meets the challenge. There is no photographic technique here... just photoshop. The 'photographic' integrity, which is important in advanced editing challenges has been abused, in my opinion. = 1 |

Painting With Lightby CatherineComment: This is a nice idea.. your spot editing around the edges of the brush are showing. One thing you can do to help preven this is to push your highlight levels after you edit. Subtle mistakes like this one will pop out at you and you can cancel the highlight change and go back and clean up.... |

Petal IIby welcherComment: Beautiful work. I was hoping that some would go the extra mile and work with several different colors of light. Great shot :) = 10 |

Sparkling personality by timmiComment: This is excellent work... by far one of the more creative ideas I have seen in this challenge. I love the idea. I don't know if you tried this or not, but it could have been interesting to see what this would have looked like by putting the sparkler in front of your subject instead of behind. That could have illuminated your subject for a nice effect as well... excellent work :) = 10 |
