Side Flyerby AllWeekleyLongComment: I agree with Yo_Spiff. I voted low on this because your model (friend) is blurred, and Natsumi Hayashi typically has very little motion blur in her shots. But, as Yo_Spiff said, shooting to stop motion blur indoors is tough - our eyes adjust to low light situations very well, the camera not-so-much.
Things you did right (for dpchallenge) that many of your classmates did not: Correct size - 800 pixels per side max is pretty limiting, and you're best off using them all. JPG format is nice because you can adjust the compression to get the photo under 300K without hurting the quality too much (usually). |

Green phase by sinistral_leoComment: The Charge of the Light Brigade? I think only a military group could do this this well. The closest things to hinting at a jump are: the flag man's feet (though it almost looks like he's walking), the the shoulders of the guy nearside of the front row (though it almost looks like he's just standing at attention). 10 |

The Flying Paintress by Alex_PetriniComment: This looks like in the style of tanguera. A bit too dark on the near side of her face - maybe even overall. Wish the red in the picture popped a bit more. Very nice positioning of the arms / hands & legs / feet. |

Some Icelandic sceneryby bob_bobskiComment: Unfortunate conjunction of the top of the wall and his rear end - looks like he's sitting on the wall, rather than hovering mid-air. Very nice position of hands and feet - nothing that conveys "shot while someone was jumping". |

The Church (1989)by Art RoflmaoComment: Art - congrats on the top 10 finish, but this picture was a shocker for me. It is quite similar, but mirror image, to the church I grew up next door to - follow the link for a picture. I'd never seen another like it - until now.
Calapooia Country Church, West of Sutherlin, OR off I-5
Even the interior is quite similar, with the wainscoting, etc. Now I am really curious as to which was first, or if they were done completely independently, and just happen to be similar. Thanks for sharing. Made my day... |

Footsteps of Muirby mpetersComment: What a beautiful scene, and very nicely captured. Great reflections and texture on the water. |
