Awesome photo. Definite and immediate emotional connection, with enough "What the...?" to make you stop and study it.

Great capture of the playfulness of the dog. This is a fun image that readily connects with any dog lover, as well as potentially with childhood memories of playing with a loved pet.

Oh very young
What will you leave us this time
You're only dancing on this earth for a short while
And though your dreams may toss and turn you now
They will vanish away like your daddy's best jeans
Denim Blue fading up to the sky
And though you want him to last forever
You know he never will
(You know he never will)
And the patches make the goodbye harder still.

Our families and heritage are not ours to choose. Yet some of us have been blessed beyond expression. May we recognize the gift we have been given, and pass it down to the following generations. And may they do the same.
Rocks; I chose rocks for crossing my Rubicon. You bet!

The precarious balance. Taking it one step at a time. Sharing the path with others, but at the same time competing for limited resources. A selfish moment can ruin the crossing for everyone. But, by sharing, everyone gets where they need to be.

What a great capture. Such a transient moment. Here for a moment, then gone. Yet it captures the attention and imagination of those who are privileged to witness it. All caught in a single, colorful, captivating image. Beautiful!

I like. Some nice things about this - the sunrise/sunset colors, the geese framed in the pool of light, the reflections on the ice - all work together to make this a mighty fine shot.

This image has a combination of issues without a counterbalance of positive qualities. On the positive side, the point of view is different, the subject is colorful and different (with the rim around the bottom, it almost looks more like a pot than a cup, and it is being used to hold writing implements rather than a beverage or a plant - so one is left wondering exactly what it is - and its context doesn't really give away the answer).
To me, the biggest issue is the background - especially on the right side of the picture (which is even worse because the pencil points to it). What is in the background is critical to an image - either supporting your main subject or detracting from it.
Second issue is the lighting - not sure I can figure out what is going on there, but it looks like the light is coming from the top left, but the left side of the glass is dark while the inside right side of the glass is almost too well lit. To me, this makes the left side of the image dark, pushing the viewer's attention away from it (and, following the pencil, to the distracting background on the right edge).
The third issue is that the image is not in focus. Images can be deliberately blurred, and that is a potential for this image. But, it doesn't seem like it. Depth of field is a critical choice, but generally some part of the image should be obviously in focus.
I think you have shown great creativity by "seeing" this picture in an ordinary every-day setting, and capturing it. Technique can be taught - the ability to "see" a picture, not so much...

Be very aware of the background - if where you shoot can't be controlled (and sometimes it can't), try darkening it or lightening it or massively blurring it in post processing. Don't be bummed by your score - pushing the edge (especially of a challenge description) does not usually encourage high scoring. BTW - your crop on this is very nice.

The glass jars are interesting, but there are several things that work against this image.
1) Lighting - the foreground is almost hidden in shadow, while the background is well lit. In this image the tag on the jar begs to be read, but the low light makes it difficult.
2) Background - the background seriously detracts from the jars and does not integrate into the subject. For example, whatever is between the lamp and the wall seems to be more oversight than intentional. Background is very, very important.
The image has some interesting features that almost beg further photographic exploration. For example, you have several planes of tones - the side wall, the back wall, the table top. In addition, you have several strong lines (on the table top, the corner of the two walls, the dark outline of the lamp against the wall.
