Circumference Diameter Relationshipby raishComment: Clever. There are too many main features in one shot. Unfortunately, the building in the background is a major one (the strong window crossbucks, white frames, and tan wall - strong contrasts) - to blur it but not the Pi, ruler or CD would be a real challenge. |

untitledby LMA128Comment: I agree the shot needs something besides the calculator - but an out of focus pencil is not it. Perhaps moving the pencil to a corner of the shot... although it does serve as an undeline to the Pi key. Excellent color, and the yellow of the pencil ties in nicely. |

Pirrationalby ShrinkComment: OK. You got me - I love mobius strips. Nice lighting. Not sure what is in the background, but at least it is blurred so it does not compete for main subject. |

3.14 O.C.D.by empiresbmComment: Too much going on in this photo - needs a stronger central concept. The Pi symbol could be it, but it is out of focus. The top 1/2 is indistinguishable. |

Musings of PIby willhadlComment: Your comments make this photo. Top part is a bit too washed out (on purpose?) |

sky in the piby baco99Comment: Creative. Nice framing/crop. Picky, but phone pole / wires in background are distracting, and the Chevy symbols not parallel bother my sense of order. Would this be 2 pi? |

Club Sodaby dtremainComment: Originally posted by corinne: In a contest that is filled with bubbles (literally), this photo was a nice change of pace. The photo was executed very well. My next comment is in no way a reflection of your photo - but isn't it a shame that an awesome, old brick building is littered with neon signs? |
Actually, this, and a series of bubbles up the side are the only modern signs on the building, and some of the original painted signs are still visible. Thanks for your comments. |

Happy Trailby ccabmanComment: Search google for "Rule of Thirds" (Wikipedia also has a good entry on it). I like the road, but there is no point of interest along it. The lighting is bland, and the center of the picture is rather dark. This is a great place to learn and improve your picture-taking skills. Remember, every comment is simply one person's opinion - no more or less valid than yours. |
