1937 Packerby CTBruceComment: Not my favorite crop - I'd rather see one of the headlights (whole or mostly so) or none of the headlights on either side. To be really picky, your crop is not exactly symmetrical - there is more of the headlight on the left (car's right) than there is on the other side or level. But, I love old cars. The grille on this one make an especially pleasing pattern, and your highlights in the curves are nice with no obvious trace of the photographer in any reflections. Not a particularly colorful shot, but the tan is pleasing, and nicely accented with the chrome and black. The Packard was a top-of-the-line luxury car for its day, and this shot does it credit. 9 |

Branching Outby HeiSchComment: DNMC - back lighting is light behind the subject, not photographer. |

Bridge Over Rubbled Watersby davemceComment: bridge is too much in the center of the shot. This would have been much more pleasant the bridge was about the 1/3 mark (either left or right - looks like nice scenery either way. |

Luganoby Donna21Comment: Bummer the horse's head has the tree behind it. This would have been a much better shot without the tree, and the grass / brush providing background and definition for the head. |

Roseby booboo_goonComment: Lime green isn't a favorite color of many people. That, combined with a dead (or almost dead) rose that is mostly OOF does not make a pleasing shot. I prefer a larger depth of field, but your lighting in this shot is very nice. |

Migrantsby maxlevayComment: DNMC - looks like it went silhouette on you. This is a nice and interesting picture. |

Rocksteadyby ZigomarComment: This is a stretch for the challenge. I guess technically this is back light (as long as you don't read the description too close...) Overall, this is an interesting shot. The lack of bright color leaves it a bit bland, but the texture of the rock wall, the green on the wall, and the HUGE shadow make it a "2nd look" picture. |

Rainbowby hemanComment: Backlight is when the light is behind your subject - not you. Other than that, this is a beautiful picture. Rainbows are not easy to capture nicely, and you've done an excellent job. |
