Plant Thingby macleodnComment: I'm not a shallow DOF fan, and would've liked to see a bit more of the foreground in focus. The contrast between the white plants in the foreground in shadow, and the yellow leaves brightly lit in the background is very nice. |

Ducksby macleodnComment: I like the wakes and the texture on the water. The ducks are a bit dark, but I'm not sure that isn't a positive in this shot. |

Geeseby macleodnComment: Talk about a tough shot - to get good exposure on the geese, and not have them be black blobs, the wing positions of each goose, etc. You've got a nice, pleasing light, and an absolutely clean background. Only the one central goose has wing positioned so it connects with the head, making an unusual profile. If you've got enough megapixels to work with, you might try various crops of a single goose - the lead goose and the one behind and below might make good solo shots. |

Moonby macleodnComment: Looks like you've got "shooting the moon" down very nicely. I might try recropping this to better fit the rule of thirds. To my eye, there's a little too much blue to the right of the moon. |

Heronby macleodnComment: This is a beautiful shot. I especially like the lighting on the grass in the foreground. Main subjects to the far right aren't a favorite of mine, but it works in this case. You also might try a portrait crop of this, including both the bird and its reflection and trying to avoid splitting it 50/50.

Apen Glowby riversongComment: You got robbed - this is a beautiful shot - one of my favorites of the entire challenge (I was one of your 8's). Of course, this is a close-up of water, with the beautiful reflection of aspen leaves distorted on the surface, and a single leaf to tie it together. Not sure where the other voters expected you to stand to get a "more macro" shot of this...
You have some beautiful nature shots - including "Swift Mountain River"

Magnificationby Rino63Comment: The reflections on the magnifying glass really hurt this shot - also watch focus. Very little is in focus in this shot. Creative idea. |
