feeding or sleeping? great shot with flying birds, passing people, and still birds. Like a sentinel, the old man sat on the bench, slumped forward slightly. His dark coat and pants a contrast to the white bench, the pigeons flew around him expectantly as people rushed by in their daily tasks. He did not know how long he had sat, but still he sat and waited. It would come. He knew it would.

Makes me want to take off my hat, salute, or just stand in silence and think about those whose lives were cut short - a mother losing her son, a young mother her husband, young children their father - that we might live in freedom and safety. It is indeed a poor country that can't be grateful for the sacrifices of those in their military.

As I watched the golden sun set behind the evergreens, I couldn't help but wonder if I would live to see it rise again. The dark was coming, and I couldn't stop it. Concerned, I turned towards the cabin. But suddenly stopped and looked again at the reflections off the sparse clouds. It was so golden, it seemed to promise that I'd see the next sunrise. And many more after that.

A chase I made, but could not, though caught her I did, capture her. Her spirit fled on ahead, and I could not but help allow her body to follow.
