He Looks Up to You.by KnightVisionComment: This shot is one of the reasons I will probably never score well on dpchallenge. This is a great capture. The OOF hints that the adult may feel the boy's confidence may not be wholly earned - it adds a bit of surrealness to the shot - something true, but hard to believe. There is great congruency between the boy's expression, head & eye position and the title. You can put your bat and ball away. You've hit this one out of the park.
BTW-check out the comment from Posthumous - he don't give out ones like that very often.

Single Beautyby elTOROComment: Great lighting and nice detail, but placing the horizon in the middle of the flower creates some major problems with this. There is nice contrast between the flower and the green trees, and very little contrast between the flower and the sky. Best of challenges are typically voted pretty critically. I'd focus on the fact that you got almost all 4's & 5's, with a nice number of 6's and a few higher scores.

Tee-Ball fun!by chazoeComment: This is a great picture - would be king on a scrapbook page. You've done some very nice things here - he's off center, your choice of positioning vs. the sun puts shadow on his face, but it is nicely and evenly lit - probably the best anyone could do considering the conditions. Great expression, and he's looking right out of the picture at you. IMO, "perfecting" this picture would result in a loss of the natural charm, and reality of the shot.
This picture does everything you wanted it to do, and more.

The Potato Eatersby ThingFishComment: Awesome photo. I love the "feel" of it. This image transcends the scene, and touches the soul. |

Kodachromeby SenayComment: Is that really a Nikon? Nice shot. Not sure if the "scuz"/"grime" helps or hurts this. |

The Sound of Silenceby asheppComment: This does an excellent job of capturing the emotion of the title. The wood in the foreground saves this from being "just another landscape shot". |
