Paperclipsby sagestudioComment: this reminds me of those classic "debeers" diamond ads. What a great and creative way to meet the challenge. I love the bw treatment, its utterly classic. Contrast is a bit high as parts of her skin look a tad blown, but otherwise, very cool! |

To the Pointby TerryGeeComment: this is more like a painting than a photograph, its very creative post processing, but I suspect its not faring as well as you'd like with the voters. Still, nice treatment of an otherwise simple and plain subject. :) |

Planning and Calculatingby cmrk74Comment: I like the full composition, but the huge glare/hotspot on the left is throwing the shot off. My dad was a draftsman and used to design all sorts of structures, so this really brings back some fond memories for me. Thank you. |

Abstract Graphite Sculpture (Pencil Lead Holder)by severinComment: I like the dark background and its texture against the abstract smoothness of your "sculpture", very creative. Focus is good too, I like the DOF. I know the bottom of the holder is not totally in focus, but its not distracting and works for the shot. |

Close Shave by FranziskaLangComment: I really like this "3D" composition, its very clever! Nice bight colours too, maybe a bit too bright, but on second thought..nah. I like the crowding too, it works well for the shot. Great idea! |

Dairy Queen by crabappl3Comment: best of the week, what a perfect crown. I like choice of the royal purple too, ties in with your theme. There is a little bit of softness at the tips of some of the drop/splashes, but nothing to cry about. 10 |

Liquid Tomato...aka..Tomato Soupby Girl from OZComment: I love the lighting on the background, but I wish there was just a bit more lighting up the soup itself. That part of the shot is a bit dark, but overall, I like the symmetrical compsotion and the inclusion of negative space. well done. |

Oil & Vinegar Abstractby jerrftComment: perfect title. I love the colours, they are warm and golden and your choice of a titled angel really makes this abstract grand. Your focus is spot on, and I couldn't improve upon the lighting. well done. |

A critical eye on his liquids.by jjbeguinComment: I like the way the light is a spotlight on the vintner, but the shadows it is casting are harsh. I suspect this was not a "studio" shot where you could control the lighting, so I will say that I like your composition and the inclusion of the wine barrels. A very nice take on the challenge. |
