My father was the pilot...by OculusComment: Very well done. I was thinking it was excellent handling of a reflection but further investigation shows it's plexiglass. The faceless emotion is very evident here. The shadows on the arms are unfortunate. Looking at the names, are you thearendts Jon Arendt? A little hint, don't PM me back now so you retain what anonymity you still have. 8 |

Deadly Barkby sunilk2020Comment: The blur adds to the emotional look of this. I'm sure you'll get plenty of people that vote low because of the blur though. Heck, this could get the brown ribbon based on rules broken and voting standards, but I like it. 7 |

Like a Degasby vtruanComment: Good composition, but not very clear and sharp. Ballerinas rarely exhibit emotion, so this is a tough choice to work with. |

oh babyby leko2kComment: It is not very sharp, maybe due to low light. The grasping hand indicates emotion, not of a baby, but maybe a person in a moment of extreme passion? |

Anticipationby levyj413Comment: Nice DOF on the white knuckles rather than the action in the background. |

Handling painby odradekComment: Nice display of emotion through a hand in a hospital bed. Good DOF. I see the bedding is being grasped, which displays extreme pain well. I sincerely hope this was staged. I was going to comment on not seeing stress in the muscles/tendons, but trying it myself it's hard to tell the difference between gentle grasping and extreme tension. |

hand-me-down dressby Deb_SComment: I'm not sure what emotion is being portrayed here. The title indicates disappointment. However the dress is very nice and the girl looks beautiful in it and she has a neutral expression. The skewing of the angle works here. |

Not a Welcome Sightby daboardergirlComment: Good thing there are no bullets in the revolver, but having bullets visible would have increased the emotion. Good composition. When you see that your focus is on the gun barrel pointing at you. |
