I'm judging these harder since there are so many of them. This is good, but one doesn't get the feeling here of trial and trouble and (to my eyes) terror that one gets from the McCurry photo. She just looks sad. This is an excellent photo in its own right, but aside from the pose and headdress, it doesn't in my opinion owe a whole lot to McCurry.

Most of Geddes's shots make my teeth hurt. But this is a good imitation. In fact, I think I like what you've done here better that anything she does. Your colors are bolder, and it feels much more animated than most of what I've seen of hers. Nicely done.
