by jmritzComment: This requires an investment of at least a minute on the viewer's part. I've been here a few now. It's easy to dismiss all that darkness as noir, or worse, negative space. But hold it in your eye for a few moments, and an entire scene seems to emerge from it. (Are those headlights in the distance?)

untitledby instepsComment: Paul's comment is hard to top, and I won't try. I wholeheartedly agree though. When the viewer isn't attacked by the photographer, he (the viewer) feels at ease to settle in and make the photograph his own.
Simply stated and quietly intriguing. Great work. |
