Expectant Coupleby LonniComment: Shadows are a little harsh, but the ornery expression on the gentleman is actually kind of amusing. |

Cardboard Trumpetby LonniComment: Good. I think portrait orientation would have been better here, but a fun candid moment all the same. |

All Smilesby karmatComment: Too much blurred background on the right, but a great expression! |

Mischievous by karmatComment: I enjoyed seeing what you brought to this side challenge. I like the DOF here and it's nicely framed. A bit more of the bottle would have helped tell the story. |

Luck of the shot. I would have liked it not so intense.
Originally posted by Maggye: pretty cool!!! would you mind explaining a bit more about cross-processing.. (sorry my knowledge in photoshop is basic), I really like the results on this one ;) |
Cross processing is an old darkroom technique of using the wrong processing chemicals to produce wild (but predicatable) color variations. It can be simulated in digital image processing, though this isn't the best example of it. Check out this tutorial.

Thanks. I see it primarily in the right lady's shirt. I struggled with that. Noise reduction only seemed to make it worse, so I left it. |

Day 01 - Married too Longby shalrathComment: This has a calming feel to it. Beautifully composed, and the lighting and focus are dead on. I love the sepia processing and slight vignette effect. Thanks, by the way, for posting such great details on how you got the shot. Message edited by author 2008-10-01 19:20:57. |

Lovebirdsby GermaineComment: This is beautifully composed and the overexposure works to accentuate and separate the colors and shapes. Seems only slightly oversaturated. |

Day 1by MaggyeComment: The lighting here is beautiful and her expression is mysterious. I think her hands help tell the story. I love the warm tones. Well captured! |
