Winter Nightsby sherComment: I like the definition you caught in all that white fur. Wish the nose were sharper. and the circular shadow effect feels a bit odd. The cozy bed material the pup is lying on is confusing because at first I thought it was part of the dog or maybe snow - a flat floor or a darker material would contrast better (but maybe this sweet dow wouldn't like it as much) |

Pretty Horseby HRoxasComment: big warm furry horse in a wintery scene. I like the angle. The lighting is nice. Focus a bit soft (but so is the horse!) Lacks a "wow" somehow, but very comfortable and pleasing. |

Got niunai?by dtouch1Comment: Neat idea. I like the white and red theme. I think flatter lighting would work more effectively - the shadow on the right is ditracting. You want to barely see how the glass is in fron of the background. If the light is coming from on side you can balance it by bouncing it back with a white board on the other side or another light. |

You Awake?by crabappl3Comment: Cute. I like the crispness of the fur against the gray background., the shadowed eyes and the shiny nose. I wish the paw on the left and the tips on the ears were in focus too. The paw in particular distracts the eye from the pup's face. |

Red Dracoby puyaComment: Marvelous dragon. I like all the details in the scales. The light on the right is a bit glaring. A shallower depth of field would blur out the parts int the background and make the face "pop" out a bit more. |

Four of a Kind by KonadorComment: Sheep! Wonderful Sheep! What a super black and white, catures their expressions perfectly. Great range, tone. The composition is classic. Are these Icelandic? my favorite. 10 |

Year of the Horse (rusted)by justineComment: I like the simple lines and the lighting gives a slight shadow to the edge under the nose and front leg giving a touch of the 3rd dimension and it fades to the rear and becomes two dimensional. Very elegant. You really saturated the red, it looks cool, but I have the feeling that subtlety in color would work better with your elegant lighting. I hope you post a version with realistic colors after the competition. 8 |

Just My Rabbit ,Characteristic: Very Nice,Forbearingby MonaComment: Nice close-up. All that wonderful warm fur and wiskers, and big shiny black eye on the thirds line - well thought out. The snowy background works well, and the shadowy edge of the rabbits nose contrasts well with the white/blue of the snow. 8 |

Dogby GinaRothfelsComment: The composition is cute. Tho small, I'm sure this dog is faithful, determined, energetic and has a big heart. The green of the tree and the red of the soil go well with the dog's color. I like how it looks with the top half cropped too - maybe not as cute, but attention is more drawn to the dog. |
