Good to have the ship on the thirds line to emphasize it otherwise it wouls get lost amid the framing of the strong rocks and coastline. Nice line of crashing waves drawing you eye further into the frame. I'm not sure I like the purple sky - may add to the feeling of wreckage, but it distracts me.

Beautiful deep blue sky with the contrasting yellow/orange glow from the campfire. Nice framing by the trees. Wish there were more of a prominent subject - something to rest your eyes on - a person by the fire perhaps.

Giraffes

Neat abstaction. Wish the foreground giraffe were in focus too - it draws too much attention in the photo being in front, and brighter but it lacks detail and takes away from the rear two giraffes.

very gangsta portrait - dark, angry and rich too it seems. The backlight on the right is so much brighter than the rest of the lighting, it has become burnt out of detail - and the rest of the photo seems a bit dark, could be a tad brighter with a bit more contrast.

Love the golden glow of sunlight on the mist above the water - the trees point like an arrow in the direction the balloon might go. Good color, composition, detail. 8

The sharpening, dodging and burning have turned this photo into painterly art - but it moves better than oil. The swirl is marlvelous in the bottom third of the composition - balanced nicely by the white rush of the falls and the shadowy leaves above. Maybe a bit too dark on the top right. 8

Lovely combination of colors - the stark white against the bright blue wih touches of yellow. I am trying to decide if I like the lack of focus - really the only things in focus are the tip of the left-most petal and the yellow tip of the pistle. The composition in wonderfully dynamic - bursting out of the top left corner and therefore the image works as an abstraction. But I do think I'd like more in focus nonetheless. 7

I like the symphony of reds and the lacy background is very pleasant. The lighting feels very flat - better addressed when the photo is shot, but can be played with in post processing using curves, selective colors, shadow/highlight or some combination of the three. The crop on the left feels awkward to me - I'd rather see the jelly beans flow past the boarder of the photo on the left AND the top or have lacy space on both sides.
