Road to....

I love the colors in this shot. I find the composition a bit unsettled - with the road squished into the corner,but that give me a sense of movement - which is appropriate for a road. I would tweek it just a bit - crop our the pole on the right (or close it out) and crop a bit on the right so that the stone wall come right to the corner. Would like to see a little more detail in the shadows too.

I like your composition - there is a nice broad ledge for the viewers eyes to start their journey and then the line of rocks and canyon wall leads you into the photo all the way to the distant mountains. However, I think the contrasts are too strong. The large black shadow in the middle lacks any detail as do many of the other shadows. he ledge in front is so bright it feels washed out - there must be some nice texture in that rock tat is missing. The colors also feel odd- everything has a magenta tinge.
