sentinelsby geewhyComment: Originally posted by Imagineer: Beautiful, beautiful job. This looks straight out of a Tim Burton film. Supremely edited and well observed in the first instance. Bang! Straight in my faves! |
I thought Sleepy Hollow as soon as I saw this! Very unusual, unintuitive - but very effective. |

Flower Formby LtHousLadyComment: great details, and I like how we see the back, not the front,of the flower. |

3 inch Gerbera specimenby PixelstateComment: a fine idea for this challenge - The rular helps us understant the diminutive nature of the flower and appreciate it delicateness. Both practical and pretty. 8 |

Porcupineby darixComment: I like that you can still see the brick path beyond the flowers - having the other flower half way between the subject and the path acts as an intermediary between the main flower and the background. I like the subtle diagonal created by the bricks that leads us in from the top left and right to that dramaticly framed flower which is crisp and full of color! 9 |

Midnight Floatby tyt2000Comment: magical lighting, wonderful and appropriate soft focus. Although I see the reflections and know it is water - is feels like these flowers are floating in the night intself. Lovely golden and rosy yellows. |

memory laneby willemComment: I love the curve of this picture and how well it works with the title. Obviously the infared makes it very fantastic - fairy winter land. I like how the brightness, featheryness of the leaves contrasts with the dark winkled bark! The bench welcomes to viewer to sit down and enjoy the image for a while. Excellent. 10 |

Untitledby DamianComment: Nice details! I cannot stop looking at this! There is so much to see - the textures and tones. I like the inclusion of the water drops. |

Through the Archby bmatt17Comment: A truely loveloy composition. I like the balance, symetry and solidity of the stone arch, and how it frames the more natural scene behind it. I like how the rocks tumble at an angle and the ferns peek out under the arch. Perhaps framing it with a touch more room to the left and below you invite the viewer to enter the scene more - moving into the photo from the left ? |

Bamboo Rootsby jab119Comment: innovative subject, and interesting choice to reflect it. I'm not sure I like everything so centered -both horizontally and vertically. Perhaps an off-set composition would make it more interesting. The black backgroung is a good choice to make the roots really show up and glow against it. |
