Through the Gateby brizmamaComment: Nice use of light and depth of focus to compose a picture. Good title too. The gate doesn't seem quite sharp but still a stong image. |

Backlight Cafeby muypoeticoComment: An interesting idea - you've caught two worlds: the one inside the glass and the one outside the glass. It would meet the challenge better (IMO) if there were a strong light insdie the cafe backlighting a stong subject - making it seem to pop through the glass. |

Face Offby adyusComment: I like this composition very much - it works especially well with the backlighting. It might look even better if the horizontal lines on the board matched up with the horizontal of the photo, and I'd not crop it quite so tight - include the bases of the knights in the foreground. |

sleepy-edited-with-borders.jpgby BluelemurComment: another lovely composition - I really like how the subjects fill the frame, some nice, subtle leading lines with the arm and the seam of the shirt. Those sweet sleepy eyes are right on the thirds line. Nice balance of dark and light. |

laughing-couple-for-web.jpgby BluelemurComment: A terrific capture of the moment - really tells about the attraction between the two people. It is fairly formal looking in black and white - but the swing of her hair and the real expressions on their faces make it l
eap out of the
frame for me. |

tai-chi-with-borders-bor-we.jpgby BluelemurComment: What a terrific composition. The sweep of the path, the placement of the subject. (maybe you could edit out that fence at the top - I wouldn't crop it would break the flow of the curving path - just a little creative cloning perhaps?) This would work well as a motivational poster - I find it visually inspiring. Nice range of greens. I have been looking through your portfolio - enjoying it very much. Hope you will be entering some challenges - people should be looking at your work more than they are at the moment. |

A Winter's Walkby ElaineComment: Nice placement for your colorful subjects - the lines of the trees ointing down and the planting points across at them. I wish they were facing us, they are less than interesting with their backs to us. |

I'm Blueby egillbjarkiComment: A good mood here - the blue really radiates, the shadows on the face are lovely. Perhaps crop a bit off on the left. |
