What did I do to you?by takethatComment: A very expressive face! Such clear eyes. I like having the two ther dogs for contrast - faceless, bhind the bars. Backround is a bit distracting and the lines of the photo don't quite "click" - too much sidewalk..I'm not sure what I'd suggest. You caught that face in the moment - that is most important |

Summer Residentby anceo1Comment: a graceful bird. Too bad you couldn't get closer. The environment is so colorless and uninteresting - the white bird is lost in it. |

Alligator Alleyby ploogieaComment: Mass of fauna. Can't really see where one alligator end and another begins - to add to that effect I'd crop the river out of the picture - just leave the central jumble of alligators, and perhaps play with the levels to make the backs blacker and the light spots more defined. |

The Gathererby autoolComment: Lovely highlights on the fuzz of the abdomen. Nice composition with the flower openning up from the left. |

purdeyby berkfoutjeComment: Purdey is Pretty - the hightlights on her (?) glossy coat really accent her shape. However the background is distracting and the cuttof at her feet is arbitrary. I'd like to see more of her against a subtle but contrasting background. |

Small World, Big Gap #1by KINGComment: The title is so apt, Great detail on this tiny view - even the translucent shadows of the fly;s wings on the leaf. The composition with the fly perched ready to take the big leap is great. I would have cropped a little moe off the left though - bring more attention to the fly. |

Chameleonby louie cComment: What a great moment - catching the fauna catching the fauna! The light on the chameleon is fine, of course the cricket is totally washed out, The rock (?) in the foreground takes up too much space in the composition. If only you could have swung arounf to the right and shot the cricket more in from of the lizard, getting them closer in the frame. But points for getting the shot! |

Loungingby ellamayComment: A cat in the sun is indeed fauna in its habitat. I like the detail of the claw caught in the carpet, the sunlit ear against the shadows. Wish both eyes were turned to us (but how does one get a cat to do what we want?) Also the streak of sunlight behind distracts. I would crop to focus on the face and ears, and make it sharper - what resolution are you working with? |

hip hopperby erikjohndaleComment: The green show up so well against the pink, and I like the diagonal space in front of the hopper - as if we could see it make its next jump - but it's not in focus, or the camera was shaken. |
