Time to open the blinds.by jjbeguinComment: Lots of meaning in such a small spot - the light through the blinds, the time on the watch. Nice focus, texture in the hand - the skin the mails. Very neat, well done. |

Handcrafted facesby JohannesFrankComment: Very nice I like the balance of having two faces - one in focus, and one, like an echo, suggested in the background, The difference in their expressions is interesting too - gives real feeling to the picture, Depth of Focus on the foreground figure is narrow - wish all of the face was sharp. I might have cropped on the right to loose the white blotch at the top. |

Sticking It Outby sherComment: i like the brown color and bark texture against tje smooth black. Wish the whole subject were in focus, maybe crop in to give more cohesion to the picture. |

Aged screwby justineComment: nice detail on the right hand screw. I wonder at your choice to have a narrow dof. the composition of the other screws and nuts is visually interesting, but without focus just detracts from the subject. An even background filled with nuts, bolts, whatever, out of focus would give a nice back drop to one screw in focus. Another question - why color, why not b&w? |

Magnolia Seedsby shareinncComment: interesting detail of the root (?) popping out. the color is rich, but the lighting is too bright, makes the seeds so shiny it is hard to see the texture. Also the depth of focus is so small, very little of the pic is clear. I like to see a crop that brings us closer to the root andthe bit of seed thjat is in focus. |

Iguanaby jenaromComment: lovely colors, detail and texture. The "dewlap" and front leg aren't in focus, and destract the eye from the central subject. They do provide some context - but i'd experiment with croppin them out. |

'round midnightby moodvilleComment: lovely glowing ball - you really feel the roundness of it the way the color changes and molds it. I'd like to see how it would look if it weren't dead center. But I do like this as well. |

i c u ...by AesculapiusComment: Funny. I like the idea and composition. Wish the background were either all white or the line between the bluer part and lighter part was more pronounced. A little backlight might give more dimenion and detail to you realistic eyeball. |
