Ricky, I think this shot is great! gave you a 6; on revisit, perhaps that bloom in lower left is just a bit too "screech" in its color! the detail you captured on the mosquito rocks!
(Hope you swatted him afterwards! ugh..I hate the buggers!)

I actually liked this a lot, thought the focus on the flower was great, and the leaves int he BG for me, helped to reemphasize the shape of the ballon flowers petals..perhaps a tighter crop would have helped by no having so much leave as a competing focus subject? the boke behind the bloom & leaves adds a lot too, by playing off the soft lavender in the petals.

I liked this a lot during the challenge, I think the HighKey technique would not have worked so well if you hadn't emphasized those beautiful colors in her eye. I alos like the subdued color of the lips-keeps them from fighting with the eyes for attention, and they do get noticed on their own. T
