Gruenby graphicfunkComment: There's something about the red band and background that is too overpowering. My first impression of the "ad" is red, not jewelry (watch). |

. . . Imperfect Roseby ladpupmoeComment: I like the rose...love flower shots in general...but there is just something unappealing about the color of the background...perhaps the white balance was off? |

Hollywoodlandby GeneralEComment: I don't know that I like the snag in the foreground. BTW, you might want to be really careful about using this shot anywhere. I have heard that the city is really anal about who can photograph the sign and for what purpose. |

nudeby grigrigirlComment: Julia,
This model is so beautiful. What a wonderfully emotive face and the pose just takes my breath away. I understand now what you said about nudes...you are so talented here and so lucky to have folks who will pose for you!
I'm gonna go browse some more. :-D

Perfect Circleby PSUBeckerComment: Hey, I see you're from State College! Resident or student? I live in Bellefonte for four years...worked for Mike's Video for three of those LOL.
Anyway, as far as the photo goes...I'm going to agree with the comments below in saying that the crop is a little too tight on the flower. A wider negative space around the bloom would have left more of a round and less of a square feeling.
I like the color and the texture of the bloom, but the focus seems a little soft. Perhaps a slightly smaller aperture (larger number) to bring a little more of the bloom into focus might make it better.
I envy you your choices of photographic subjects up in the State College area...the park in Bellefonte could keep me busy for weeks LOL. Eat a chicken cheesesteak from Penn State Subs for me would ya?
