Great image, great choice of B&W... all ruined for me by the wire running in the forefront. This is where the eye focuses first and it lets down the rest of an otherwise really nice image.

with such a wide angle, your polarizer darkened the top left corner more than the rest of the sky and it gives the (wrong) impression that part of the image is underexposed.

I'm guessing that the sun was already set when you took the picture and unfortunately, without any lights in the village, the image lacks contrast. The same scene, with still a few rays of sunshine hitting it, would have been 10 times better. Placing the horizon right in the center of the frame does not help either. I do like the two moving silhouettes in the left bottom corner. They complement your title well.
