Day 04 The Bridgeby lilkarebearComment: The B&W tones are wonderful and the image is pin sharp (which is amazing considering you were in a driving car). I agree with hajeka that the composition could be better but the rest of the image is strong enough that I don't really care. |

Treescapeby BenComment: Very similar to the image I submitted in Fill the Frame (which did really bad). I still like it though. To me, it shows you are able to see beyond what regular people will see (a tree). The focus is really sharp and the DOF gives a nice transition from front to back. Ideally, I would have placed the "sharp focus" area in the lower third of the frame instead of right in the middle. |

Tweetieby sfaliceComment: Tweetie's a real sweetie then! The B&W conversion suits him really well. The eyes are in sharp focus but the DOF is a bit narrow for my comfort. I would have liked the "eyebrows" (?) to be in sharp focus too. But that a minor thing, the picture is really good. |

Day4.jpgby FotoMunkiComment: This is lovely, with nice contrast and pleasing DOF throughout the image. The eye wanders back and forth. The light is just great and complements the "fluffiness" of the grasses. |

Day 04 - Neoby hajekaComment: OK, can't say anything more than what you've already said about your picture (you know where the weaknesses are). It seems to me that we take better picture when we're happy with the subject. Any time I've taken a picture "'cause I had to", I was disappointed by the result. You'll do better tomorrow. Yesterday's shot was really nice, especially the sky.
PS: I saw the fish in your portfolio - you are better off with the cat! |

VooDooby sfaliceComment: Not too dark on my monitor but I can see a light fringing on the edge where you extracted the image from its original background. If you had placed it against a white or pale gray background, it would have been totally invisible and much better in my opinion. That being said, kudos to you for being able to show details in such a dark fur. It was a tricky exposure and you got it right. |

Day 4.jpgby codfishComment: I like this a lot - I have seen houses like this in Montreal where they come in the color version ;-)
However, I agree with ephln and I'd clone out the lonely branch. It messes your otherwise nice composition. |

Day 4 - Time Fliesby ephlnComment: I know I'm having fun so far - in fact, I think I prefer those side challenges to the real ones. I get more comments and really have a feeling I can impove with the feedback I get.
Nice candid shot. I know of a few persons who could hang a flag like this in front of their homes... |

Day 04by Dirt_DiverComment: Love the treatment you gave this - the vignetting makes the graffiti really stand out. The texture of the wall is also amazingly rendered. I can almost feel the roughness of the concrete! |
