Day 12by JeniYComment: Nice reflection and composition. The B&W conversion is great, with a full tonal range. Makes me want to visit China! Good job. |

emptyby RetroesqueComment: Nice candid, I like the dof with the sharp glass. The two ladies int he back are what makes this picture - the glass provides situation. In that sense, I wish you'd given more importance to them. With a composition following the rule of thirds, with the glass on the left instead of centered, the image would be more dynamic and lead us from the foreground to the background, making sure the ladies get our full attention. |

Day-12.jpgby salmiakkiComment: Interesting how the roof seems to wave... It's a nice composition but the image lacks contrast. |

Day 11 - Ripped, Torn, Forgottenby photokariangelComment: Oh WOW!! Love the processing, the way it is strongly texturized in the foreground and almost liquefy (or turn into light only) in the BG. It has great contrast and not just in terms of light vs shadows. Great shot! |

Awning and Benchby BAMartinComment: A great subject for this B&W challenge. The awning and the bench are superb! The white wall is a bit too bright IMO but I'm not sure you could have done better with the light you had. |

Day 11by breadfan35Comment: Right when I saw the thumbnail, I knew I'd love this shot. It has amazing contrast and a strong composition. I like that you took a low POV to capture this - it's very dynamic. |

Day 11 - Sharpenerby hajekaComment: I love this sooooo much!! The textures, the tones, the POV all combined to make a wonderful image of a very ordinary subject. If there is one thing this side challenge taught me so far, it's that there is potential for a picture in everything around us. This is just another great example of this. |

Day9Sissinghurst1.jpgby salmiakkiComment: I love that we only partially see the legs on the left! I like it when pictures tell stories and this makes me wonder: what's he doing there? Is he waiting for something? someone? The perspective of the arches and the good tonal range are also very good so a nice shot overall. Good job! |

Day 11by WriteHeartComment: A good subject for B&W and it is engagind because the pig is looking at us. Technically, I'd suggest processing the image to provide more contrast and more sharpening to really show off the texture of the hair (fur?). As it is, I think there is not enough tonal difference between your subject and the BG. |
