I know it's easy to say, difficult to realize: the ripples on the water distort the reflection of the duck and reduce the impact of your picture.
Did you try to play with different saturations to boost the colors in the water?

The one thing that drags down the score is the brightness of the water in contrast to the dark beach. A dradient density filter would help. Over all the composition is very pleasing and thought through

Sorry to tell you but your pictures does not have a lot of impact. While the triangular formation is a good choice by itself, a more intersting background or boosting the saturation of the sky could change your photo completely. A faster shutter speed would freeze the motion of the birds and would show more details. THe way you present the birds is just blured, and does not create the impression of intentional motion blurness. You could have removed the sensor dust in the lowere right corner (even in basic editing)

the idea is great. to be a real good shot, IMHO you would need to reduce the picture to the essentials. THe way it is, it's too busy. May bejust showing the plate with a fork pushed into a praline,...remove all the other silvcerware, glas, cup. focus on what's important
