DOF Studyby AlainComment: very beautiful result of your study. the shallow DOF works very well.
I wished the white difference to the background would be slightly bigger to see the white paddles clearer (just a very minor point). good work |

OurAfterby GryphxComment: very colorful and high contrast picture. considereing the lighting (no flash) good exposure. If I had one suggestion for imporvement: the focus is on his chest, not on his face/eyes. You probaly went with center-point focus? If you select a focus point that is in his face, well, you get his face in focus. brilliant logic, isn't it? :)
The contrast between the blue background the the skin tones works very well here. |

Waiting...by zaflaboutComment: I love the mood of your picture. the warm dark tone do support the story. the only thing disturbing is the watch. The har covering one eye is a nice touch and makes the shot feel very real and natural |

Chancelor Greenbackby libertyComment: Beautiful capture. Is this a prince waiting for a kiss? Good sharpness on the eye. good lighting (may be just a bit on the harsh side). Great shot with a big impact |

Gateway To Heavenby DrakeComment: I like your composition. Unfortunately the technical part let's you down,
For a silhouette the background is too dark (not enough contrast). I assume that this was not your intention. In advanced editing you can process the same picture twice. Once for the foreground, to brighten the light house and the wave (good timing btw). The second time for the sky. Then you can combine both and you have a picture that shows more details in the forewgroud and keeps the dramatic sky.
IMO the picture is a bit oversharpened (bright halo arond the edges) and suffers from a lot of noise (high ISO?). |

Away Went the Owlby vtruanComment: gave you a 7, for creativity and the unusual silhouette.
I have to admit the outtake with the birds on the branches would have scored much better. But WTH I am experimenting a lot myself and bet voted down with some of them. Don't give up and don't be frustrated |
