I think having something in the forground would give the viewer a fixed point to hold on to. Your picture really lives off the lake and the triagular island in it.

beautiful and solid lighting. good dof, asking for the impossible?: the reflections off the note are distracting. may be adifferent angle of the light source? But then again you might have lost the good color saturation.
