Horse and Homeby sfarrell23Comment: Although most of the grain is lost in this shot except in the sky, I think it is still a great photo. The grain in the sky adds to the moodiness of the heavy clouds and the dark line of trees. |

To Be in Kansas Againby tfarrell23Comment: This is a wonderful picture. I am particularly a fan of leading lines and the fence does this really well, while adding interest with the texture at the same time. The trees also add interest to the horizon which would have been bland without them. On the other hand, I don't think this is the best picture for grain as the impact of the grain tends to get lost in the texture of the grass, fence and trees. Still, well spotted and photographed. |

Riceby Blackstarlight0Comment: This could have worked well were it not for the extremely bright foreground and the top left hand side of the image. The highlights are blown out and have lost most of the detail. I like the subject matter though and the shadow ont he right of the bowl which creates depth. |

The Lighthouseby salmiakkiComment: Pity there weren't some nice clouds in this photo but we can't just 'order' these things can we? Good positioning of the horizon and the lighthouse though and I think the subject suits the grainy texture well. |

Solitudeby HaikuSailorComment: Some of the highlights seem a bit blown out but I like this photograph anyway. The figure is well placed on the pathway, which leads you into the picture and I like the way the shadow stretches towards the bottom left corner, filling a part of the frame which would have been rather empty otherwise. |

Prescription from the Pastby dsidwellComment: A great photo. I like the line of the fence in the foreground and the snow capped mountains in the background which are placed perfectly to define the shape of the roof on the building. Grain adds perfect mood as well. |

Aloneby anotherdayComment: Great composition although maybe including a little more of the hand, say to the wrist, would have been better as it would have defined the shape of the hand better. Not too sure about so much grain though. |

Night Visionby scalvertComment: Awwwwww, poor little guy! This monster used to live under my bed, I know how he feels! Great photo! The grain adds to the mood perfectly and I especially love the way the little guy is gripping the edge of the bed. Hope he got a chocolate after this! |
