Tequila.jpgby bex85Comment: This is really really well done Becky ... The clarity of the eye and nose and the catch lights and the sharpness is just right.
I think just a tiny tad more dodging on the top and left to make the white space a bit more symmetrical and it will be ready for your wall.
Good work. |

Riderby Elvis_LComment: I like this a LOT! Great contrast and sharpness and DOF. Intense crop works very well with this image. Good one. |

Rollby xianartComment: I love everything about this ... except I am not quite sure about the sky ... I think lightening it just a tad might pull this shot off a bit better, unless, of course, you were going for the surreal ...
The focus and DOF and cropping of this image is fantastic IMO. |

Bridgeby JenniferDavidGAComment: Yeah ... I think you are right about the sharpness ... it is easy to get carried away with it. I find that if you slide it up and down and up and down for a while, then you find a place where you like it ... if you drop it by about 10 to 20 percent it is less obvious but still sharpens things up sufficiently.
I also find the highlights a bit blown (too much) on the road and in the sky. I am far from an expert, but I find that the easiest way to help this is to go to levels and just pull back a tad on the output white max ...
While you are there in levels ... play with the neutral arrow on the top line in the middle and see how you can get more detail and tonal range in the bridge stones and trees ...
Keep at it and keep having fun ... |
