End of the Seasonby salmiakkiComment: imho, the composition is too in between ... would have liked to have seen you a lot closer in to the subject to concentrate more on the lines and the forms, or a lot farther away to give more of a sense of what was closed for the season. |

Jackby TJComment: Nice eyes; I didn't like the soft focus the first time I saw this image, but on second viewing I like it a lot better, particularly with the sharpness in Jack's right eye. |

The Magic of Youthby photodudeComment: Nice subject, but imho could have been improved dramatically by getting down on the child's level and shooting at his eye level, rather than down from above. Also the stroller in the background is distracting, watch your backgrounds in the viewfinder. |

Audobon Park, New Orleansby aplomb76Comment: what's your subject ... the birds, the park bench, the brackish pond, or the bridge in the distance? not sure what I'm supposed to be looking at here. Try getting closer in and focusing on the element that caught your eye. |

After the Rainby CharleneComment: Image is too small imho, and composition is off ... the white and the pink flowers compete for attention, and the pink petal at the top of the fram is distracting. Hard to do this kind of shot without a macro lens (which I'm guessing you don't have or didn't use for this one) |

future hall of famer?by whiterookComment: Not much more than a snapshot here, imho. Colors are washed out, the backs of the fans down front don't add anything to the image, and you can't see the batter's face, or even the ball. Move around to the third base sideline next time and get down lower so you capture the batter's face and the fans reaction, and you'll have something to sell on ebay after no. 11 makes it to the Hall of Fame! |

light in the sky.by udjbComment: Sorry, this one is too out of focus for me, and the light fixture is clipped at the top of the frame. |

La Petite Filleby WarbyComment: I think you could have improved this image by opening up the aperture to blur the building in the background. The building competes with your subject for attention, particularly due to the closeness in colors (i.e., on the elephant and its canopy) and sharpness between the two. |

Great Grandmother's Japanese Mapleby betsybarron31Comment: Nice idea, but imho photo is too small and the tree trunk in the background interferes with the forms of the maple branches in the foreground. Maybe if you moved a bit to the right that tree trunk would disappear, or if you opened the f-stop up wide you could have blurred it out of existence. |
