Nice set up and good try at recreating this idea. The lighting is too harsh here to really make it work, too much light is reflecting off the surface and you've lost some of the texture on the fruit. 5

Unfortunately, this one may suffer a bit from comparisons to the other similar shot entered in the challenge. I think the other will do better with the voters, both because the focus was sharper on the outer lines and its colors are richer than what you have here.

Nice macro shot, but I'm having a little trouble with the DOF ... something about the contrast between the three in focus stamine and the three out of focus I don't like. Would have been nice to see just one in focus and the rest out, or all in focus, but nature doesn't always cooperate in that way. Still a nice photo and effective composition.
