One thing I really like about your pictures of you and you're daughter is that there is something in your faces that is hard for me to verbalize. Especially with her hair like this. The best way I can put it is, it's like she was pulled from the 1940's. Wish I could articulate it better but there it is......

I have been sick so I had to pick just one shot to comment on. Someday I want to take portraits like you. Not just in the technicals which you always do so well but just in the "feel" that you produce. I also am fond of the way you add grain, I've never been able to add grain in a way that I like, maybe you can give me some pointers sometime.

this is really great stuff with the dark b/g yet great lighting on the model, what a cutie. She doesn't freak me out like most gingers do ;)

I prefer this one, kinda has that "Mona Lisa" smile going on. Nice job on the lighting.

I'm always more drawn to b&w portraits, I feel like they really let you focus on the subject. This is really nice from a technical standpoint but I'm also a fan of the relaxed pose and distant gaze.

I didn't have the patience to read thru the whole "Sharpening" thread so not sure if you chimed in on it. Curious to know what you normally do cuz it looks good in this image compared to the raw. Personally I have used the Librodo technique for so long that I made it an action and do it without even thinking on every portrait. Maybe it's time I try something new.

I'm not always a fan of overlays, as many times it seems people seem to add them just for the sake of doing it. I do like this one as it seems to fit the subject.
