I suspect the noise came from the fact that the hallway was relatively dark. So the options are
a) use better noise reduction software (and you may have exhausted this possibility already)
b) flash (ideally with good diffuser)
c) camera with better high ISO performance
d) 50 mm prime lens somewhere around f1.4 |
e) he wanted the noise :)
