BoyFaceby KelliComment: Technically speaking, I like the shallow DOF in this one because of the way the focus appears on the lines of sequins on their shirts.
I agree, the parade images you have been posting are quite a treat because they are so full of life, and the subjects appear to be having such a grand time. |

Blue Catby pmichaudComment: Sooo, this is an "ancient" image? I'm impressed. I like the general look of this. The vivid colors remind me of the Caribbean islands. and the way the people there do paintings. |

750 years and still standing by TrollManComment: This scene just looks as if a Leica would be the fitting camera to record it. It's very serene and pretty looking.
Congrats on your new ribbon! |

Canyon Viewby pmichaudComment: I saw part of the Rio Grande river canyon near Taos NM. What impressed me about it most was that the world was flat for miles, then suddenly there was this huge gash in the ground.
This angle does good in showing the receding layers and depths into the distance toward the bottom of the canyon. Not only did the explorers have to deal with the vertical aspect of it, there is a roaring river at the bottom to cross as well. |

Cactus and Glassby pmichaudComment: I've never seen a cactus fire until now. Very interesting. I did a double take to see what the bright red "plants" were. It looks like a "snake plant" growing in the cactus patch, only red instead of green.
I would think that they put them there using a rolling scaffold. |

Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrby jomariComment: Very cool looking. The trunks in the BG look like elephant legs. The "ape hanger" handlebars make the shot, and the processing makes it better. |

Gull Lineupby jomariComment: This is very good. I like the one in the center standing on one foot, and the little diamond shaped eyes. |

Seattle in BWby AgaricusComment: Great leading line, and nicely balanced with the land and water plus the curve in the foreground. Good in B&W too. |
