That's a cool looking place. The background is very mysterious in this one, and the flare is pretty cool too. It looks cool that the guy is jogging right into the flare, like into another dimension.

You have processed this to be a good take on the "feel" of the scene, preserving the colors and "cold" without losing all the detail in the trees or the grasses. This looks like a great place to get cold wet feet while shooting photos.

The high shot is by far the better view of the scene. Be gaining some elevation, you have filled the frame with the landscape in a way that is much more engaging to look at.

I also like the after sunset colors in this. There are a couple of minutes about 15 minutes after the actual "sunset" when the clear part of the sky sometimes turns a wonderful blue like this. I watch for that and try to capture it whenever it happens here.
The way the colors interlace in the mid zone is very nice in this one.

Goodbye Shuttle Discovery

Well done! I have a few of the shuttle fly-overs in my collection, but nothing like this with both the station and the shuttle distinctly visible. I like the fisheye, and I wonder about the stars on the ground lights at f 5.6. Usually that is a result of smaller aperture like f11 or 16.

The monopod-elevation thing opens up a whole new world of POV opportunities. This one looks pretty nice, but would be more interesting with
one or two people on the bench. I like the way the tree frames the bench and hides the tower in the BG.

The composition strikes me about this one. I like the colors too. Sunrises and sunsets with both the orange and blue sky in them are my fav's.
