I see by the nails that this is a pic of a person who works in the dirt. If not, then it's a darn good illusion. Simple and tasteful.

Fine duck pic. Feathers make good pics. Beautiful, well focused . A little overexposed on the neck. My experience with birds with white on them is that it helps to reduce exposure by at least -1 stop, or the white gets washed completely out.
Dirt... well we call it 'topsoil'.

Their shirts are a bit too clean for the amount of mud on the faces. If your face gets this muddy, generally the clothes are even worse. Nice thought with the title. Lighting and tech is good.

Nice field and moon rise. The shadow is a bit distracting, but it was sunset. The ground nor the sky are very much seperately, but togather, they make a pleasing photo.

Incorrect exposure and adjusted in the computer? It happens to me sometimes too. When using manual lenses with my camera, I have no light meter.
