What a nice "drive by shooting!"
The old and new details of this image are interesting a fun for me. I am somehow drawn to have a close look at the red thing by the door. It looks like a gas or electric meter. I like the modern play equipment being in the image with the very old looking place. The sharp blue sky is good in this too.

I noticed the ornate detail in the art on the buildings when I was in London a few years ago. No one seems to care to do that sort of decorative work any longer. Thank you for the little side trip with the link to the history. Good image the way you shot it and did the touch up work.

Ha! I don't see any takers on the pool invite. I wonder if they just heat it to keep it from freezing and breaking the pool walls? When someone steps out, do they stick to the concrete, and have to wait there until spring to get unstuck?
Good shot of the place, I like the balconies, and big windows there.

Good that the gulls moved, which means that they were not frozen into the river. I wonder what they eat when everything freezes like that? Good image with something to think about captured within it.

I would bet that the house has some kind of history associated with it. It looks a lot better than the condos.
