I remember seeing this building, and thinking that it looks a lot like the "Death Star" from "Star Wars". It is interesting that you found an angle to get it with nothing distracting from the geometric shape of the structure.

I feel that this image would have done well in the " Vanishing Point" challenge. This is quite the interesting perspective, and I am wondering if you shot it thru the window of the rail car, or if you got permission to get on the tracks, or shot it from an overpass walkway. I like the curves and lines all thru this image. The colors stand out too.
I enjoyed London a lot for the 5 days that I was there in 1999 to appear in an episode of "Scrap Heap Challenge". I envy your world travels, and have enjoyed looking thru your portfolio.

I agree with the grainy gritty effect and the sepia for the effect that you wanted. No one has mentioned the chains, which also add to the haphazard look of the place.

Nice view, and very unusual for a sunset. The wall of fog is what sets this image apart from the usual. We get fog here, but not like that very often.

I like everything about this image, including the tree trunk on the left edge, which adds a feel of "solid" to the land, without showing much of the land. The light play on the foreground does a lot to improve the image too. Excellent colors, esp the red leaves against the dark clouds.

This is a very compelling image. It should be picked up by the anti-smoking people for a poster shot and posted in every school in the nation.
I read how you did this, and see that you had a plan, and worked around your D70's limitations brilliantly.
Great job technically, and insightful concept. It should have placed at least top 10 if not top 3. Excellent!

This is one of the best "cat" pics I have ever seen! It just seems ready to jump out of the frame. The tail hanging straight down and the eyes up are superb.
