Ashland-shadows-3by AgaricusComment: I like the puddle of light in this image, and the way it makes the one trunk reflect in the dark water. |

Ashland-shadows-2by AgaricusComment: I feel that it would have helped this shot a lot to have moved or zoomed closer in on the contrasting leaves of the plant on the left. I feel that there is a good image in a square crop with the dead plant almost corner to corner.
The contrasting subject, the dead plant is not big enough in the thumb to make people want to open the image to see what it is.
The lighter reflection of a tree trunk in the center of the water draws my eyes away from the nice upward flow of the dead leaves.
I hope this didn't sound too harsh. It's just what I am seeing, and I'm no expert. |

by messerschmittComment: Cool daylight shot. I like the way each of the light beams thru the cracks split into two lines on the floor due to the out of focus rings of confusion. |

Break Timeby GermaineComment: No wonder all these pix are blurry, all of you are on acid. I thought that was a 60's thing.
It looks like everyone is watching the guy in the foreground disappear. |

Born To Be Wildby jmritzComment: Good stuff! It looks like they are going off into open space with the white background in this image. |

~~~~~~~by annigComment: Be careful with that Canon in the swimming pool : )
I thought I was out of pix too yesterday, but the rolling shot from the bridge got things going again for me. |
Walk Awayby JutildaComment: This is a good series with the blackbirds. I guess I'm showing my age. When I saw the title my first thought was James Gang/ Walk Away 1966. |
One Mans' Junk...by QuigleyComment: Love the story. It's fun when they pick on someone who can defend himself. I like the chopper in the center. It looks a lot like a shark head, and cuts metal like big scissors. I built one for a friend of mine who works with scrap metal, and she loved using it for many years. It was not as heavy as the one in the pic here.
I also like the light and the jumble of odds and ends in this image.
You may want to think about a reshoot, or crop to just the one machine, for a fun personification shot. |
