Silver Fernby joynimComment: Since the contest is over, you may want to re edit this image to just the ball and square building. Then clone out the bit of light in the sky by the ball and reduce the whole to being just the two geometric forms. The ball, even by itself is a treat.
Great find and capture. |

Day 15 - Road Less Traveledby BAMartinComment: The road in this looks a lot like some of the ones that we visited while in NM last Oct. This is a good scene in this image, and I would want to be out looking around to see what is there to shoot macro as well. You are fortunate to have open country where you can drive around without being fenced out too much. |

by messerschmittComment: I'm not sure what to make of this image, other than the nice bokeh of circles. There is not enough information for me to figure out what it is that I am looking at. Give us a hint? : ) |

The Ghost Song by jmritzComment: The grain in this makes it look as if it has been cropped from a much larger image. That is a technique that I use sometimes when I see something in an image that is a small detail which can be a good image.
It's a captivating image. |

The Kids Are The Sameby nixterComment: With the b&w this looks very 60's-ish. Cool take. It is good having the primary subjects moving into the center. |

Grazin' in the Grassby JutildaComment: The backlight looks good thru the fuzz on the seed pods, and good bokeh too.
Now the song is stuck in my head LOL. It was huge when it first came out in 66 or 67. |

143_4342 copy.jpgby ChinabunComment: This is a nice sharp shot. Too bad that wall is in the back, giving away the location as not being in the wild.
A different angle, maybe from a little higher or lower or vertical crop would help some. Moving the subject off center some (rule of thirds) would improve the shot too.
These birds have most interesting eyes, and are extremely curious. If you use a polarizer, they will peck at their reflection in it. They can bite, but they have no teeth, so it isn't painful. |
