I was looking back thru the posts made while I was in Mexico, and found this one. I like the processing. I always shoot color, and change it to B&W later, as it allows me more control over the resulting image by being able to use the primary color controls to get more of what I want in the end.
I see that this is the same location as the image in day 30 of the water side challenge.

I search for scenes like this. The position of the bird gives excellent scale to the whole image. Pretty light in this shot too. It's relaxing to view. If there was enough room to shoot this horizontal without getting distractions at the sides it would cut down on the amount of blank sky at the top. I try to always shoot both vert and horiz when I am shooting this sort of scenes, as I never know till later which will be "the one" that stands out. The bird and reflection though, in the vertical orientation seem to work well to balance the tall shot. Nice.

What a chilly looking soggy day. It's perfect for a "water shots" challenge, as there is water in the air and everywhere in this shot. Glad your camera didn't fall victim to the sprinkles.

30 - Flowing

Lovely wet spot shot. Good capture with all the levels being within dynamic range of the camera. You didn't blow out the moving water, good job.

Floating

Impressively still water. The pose of the bird is just right. The leaf is good, but I think that I would scrub most of the stem off. The stem makes a line that leads to the leaf, but the leaf itself adds to the depth of the shot without being overwhelming. The stillness infers silence, and that is very good.
